To auto
scroll in a list just click in the list and start typing
the name. As you type the scroll bar will move through the list until it
finds the first match. As you continue to type your search the scroll bar will continue
to move through the list navigating to the next closest match.
Example: If you were to type Furniture
you would automatically scroll to the category Furniture. In fact scrolling
takes place as soon as you start to type. F scrolls to the 1st word that begins
with F, Fu will scroll to categories that start with Fu (such as Furs) Furn will
continue the search to Furniture.
To
begin a new search using the auto scroll feature, use the
backspace button
to clear your previous search. You can tell when there is a
previous search by looking at the field on the bottom of the list. When you
backspace it will clear this field. Additionally you can type in that field and
hit the tab key which also bring you to the first record - in this example - the
category column.
You can also use the Search engine to find records.
