Setting up a graphic editor

You can use any previously installed graphic editor (also called a image or photo editor) to edit you photos. You can change your selection of software to use anytime from the Setup screen using the "Configure Graphic Editor" tab. (Note: you may have to close any open windows and re-open them in order to use the new selection if done on the fly)

My ICE Plan does not restrict you to one image (photo) editor. Although you can view images within ICE, there may be times where you will want to adjust the image or include text in the image as well as the many other things you can do with a graphic editor. ICE distributes free software that we believe is excellent to use. You may choose to use one of those freeware programs like Paint.Net. If so please donate any dollar amount you feel appropriate to the authors of such programs to help keep the development of such software going.

To use an editor it must be already be installed on your computer . Use the Choose from List button to display a list of editors that we have compiled. The list contains well know photo editing software and its default path when installed. If you have any one of the software programs on the list already installed on your computer then you can just pick it from the list and your are ready to go. You can test it by hitting the "Test Graphic Editor Setup" button. A test image built into ICE will display. If it does not than you either do not have the software installed or you used quotes in the name.
