Using treeview

Tree View gives you a different approach to working with your inventory. It is similar to using Windows Explorer in the sense that it breaks things down into folders and records under that folder. Also you can easily drag and drop a single item or reassign many items from many rooms to one room, or one location to another as well as many items from one or many categories or insure to another. In this example we have sorted the list by using the categories tab and used the Expand All button to expand all of the folders in the list. Since we have not checked the Show Empty Folders option then we are only viewing categories that have an item associated to it.

See Figure 3 to see what the list would look like when the Show Empty Folders is check. See Figure 2 for Totals
