- Are there any data fields that are pre-populated when entering a item record?
- When adding items to your inventory there are seven required fields. Four of the
seven fields are automatically entered for you.
- What are "Pick Lists"?
- Pick Lists are pre-populated lists that make creating a home inventory a bit easier
and to insure that the minimum required data fields are entered for insurance purposes.
- I want to use my own photo editor. How do I do this?
- You can use any previously installed graphic editor (also called a image or photo
editor) to edit you photos. You can change your selection of software to use anytime
from the Setup screen using the "Configure Graphic Editor" tab. (Note: you may have
to close any open windows and re-open them in order to use the new selection if done
on the fly).
- I keep most of my images and movies in a folder on my hard drive. How can I get My
iCE Plan to open those folders when I am inserting a image?
- Use the Other Options tab to tell My iCE Plan where you keep most of your images
and movie files.
- What is Archiving?
- Archiving is the process of moving records of items (and any item images and movies
files) that you no longer own from one database file to another so as to keep your
current and active database with only those item records that you do own.
- How do I create a Loss Report?
- Access the Items Loss list from the "Inventory Using..." menu - select Lost Items
by Location (create loss reports for insurance) option.
- How do I create a "Family Emergency Plan"?
- You can use My ICE Plan to help you create that plan. List crucial meeting places
and evacuation locations as well as where to take pets if a disaster should strike.
Create wallet cards to carry for reference of those places as well as medical data.

- What is the Emergency Agencies list?
- The Emergency Agencies list is a brief list of some Federal and State Emergency agencies
/ help centers. It is provided as a convenient tool to help in case of a extreme
disaster such as a hurricane, tornado, earthquake and the like.
- I have a home network. Can multiple people access My iCE Plan?
- Using My iCE Plan in a network allows multiple users to run My iCE Plan at the same
time but more importantly being able use the same database files which is really
the key here. Additionally you only have to install My iCE Plan on one computer.
If there are more users helping to create a home inventory then your inventory will
be created quicker. You can assign family members different parts of the house to
inventory thus breaking down the task. If you use My iCE Plan in this manner you
will have a detailed inventory in no time at all.
